Conservation Landscaping Program

Conservation Landscaping

The Elizabeth River Project has several programs to help home owners upgrade their yards to become better stewards of a healthy environment. And now in the Indian River area of Chesapeake, the Friends of Indian River is stepping up to provide a little extra funding support for such projects to create rain gardens, vegetated shoreline buffers, and living shorelines. See the flier below for more info, visit https://elizabethriver.org/river-star-homes or contact us at info@friendsofindianriver.org

  1. I lost my husband May 1st 2020 to the Virus. I'd love to have a tree planted in my yard in his memory. I don't have any money so contact me if there are no strings attached. God bless you.

My sincere condolences. Comments here aren't generally monitored so I just saw this. The Elizabeth River Project does have a new program where you can get one native tree for free; it's not even on there website yet. Contact bgavin@elizabethriver.org for more info.
